WELCOME TO THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR!

The first day of school for 9th grade only is Wednesday, September 6th. 

The first day of classes for all grades (9-12) is Thursday, September 7th. 

School ID & Pictures

All NCHS students are required to carry a school photo ID card (ID card is free, $5 replacement for lost or stolen ID cards). ALL students must have their picture taken on picture day.

Picture packets are available at the school to purchase school photos or you can place your order online through the link below. Please make checks payable to Dorian Studios.

Link Program for 9th Graders

The LINK program assists incoming new students in making the transition to high school. 

Only freshmen will attend school on Wednesday, 9/6/23. Our LINK Crew will conduct fun activities to help students become familiar with the campus. 

All grades (9-12) attend the first day of classes Thursday, 9/7/23.

ASB Cards

An ASB sticker is required for student participation in all performing arts, high school sports, and ASB-sponsored clubs and activities.

The sticker also grants students admission to many school events for free or for a reduced price.

The cost for an ASB sticker is $60.

All students wishing to participate in high school athletics must first be registered in Final Forms and cleared prior to participating.

ASB Sticker for all sports: $60

Sports Participation Fees: $200   Sports Participation fee for WIAA sports is due prior to the first interscholastic competition for every sport. For more information regarding fees, contact the ASB secretary at 425-408-8829.

Non-WIAA sports fees are as follows. Multi-student discounts do not apply. 

Unified sports require an ASB card only.

Extracurricular Sports and Activities

IMPORTANT DATES:

Football                                                begins Wednesday, August 16th. 

All other Fall sports                           begin Monday, August 21st.

Fall Sports Parent Meeting:    Tuesday, August 29th at 6:30 PM in the NCHS Commons.

Classes that have a fee:

Class fees will be added to student accounts the 2nd week of school.

Class Fees

In accordance with state law, the school district will provide each student with the materials and supplies necessary to learn the basic skills taught in their classes. However, many students desire to extend their creativity and educational experiences beyond the basics and many students wish to keep the projects they make in school. In these cases, special materials may be purchased at school, when available (project purchase fee), or brought from home or other sources.


Funds are available to pay for fees for any student who needs help, including all students who qualify for Free or Reduced Price Meals who have a fee waiver form submitted.

Parking 

Parking on campus is a privilege, not a right.  In order to park on campus, students must obtain a parking pass, register their vehicle and agree to abide by the Parking Expectations. They are then assigned a specific parking spot in the North (Student) Parking Lot and must park in that spot using the vehicle that they registered.

One year parking pass  - $50

PSAT 2023

Given once per year, this test is the only way for current juniors to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship. All 10th and 11th graders will take the PSAT unless their family opts their student out.

Paying for Meals

You may pay for meals by cash or check at NCHS, or you can manage your student's meal account safely and securely online with LINQConnect

NSD has moved from Titan to the LINQConnect Family Portal for easy on-line payment.  All account balances were transferred automatically from Titan to LINQConnect, but you need to register, if you haven't already, in order to view or add money to student accounts.

Do you qualify for free or reduced-priced meals or school fees?

Parents whose income falls within specified guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture should apply for free or reduced-price meals for their students. 

A fee waiver must be completed every school year prior to purchasing.

DID YOU KNOW? If you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch and complete the fee waiver form found at the link above, you can get an ASB sticker, class fees, test fees, athletic fees, club expenses and other extra-curricular activities for FREE!!! (In order for fall class and test fees to be waived, your application and waiver forms must be submitted prior to the start of school.)
