WELCOME TO THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR!
The first day of school for 9th grade only is Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025.
The first day of classes for all grades (9-12) is Thursday, September 4th, 2025.
All NCHS students are required to carry a school photo ID card (ID card is free, $5 replacement for lost or stolen ID cards). ALL students must have their picture taken on picture day.
Picture packets are available at the school to purchase school photos or you can place your order online through the link below. Please make checks payable to Dorian Studios.

The LINK program assists incoming new students in making the transition to high school.
Only freshmen will attend school on Wednesday, 9/3/25.
Our LINK Crew will conduct fun activities to help students become familiar with the campus. No backpacks or supplies needed for LINK day.
All grades (9-12) attend the first day of classes Thursday, 9/4/25
An ASB sticker is required for student participation in all performing arts, high school sports, and ASB-sponsored clubs and activities.
The sticker also grants students admission to many other school events for free or for a reduced price.
The cost for an ASB sticker is $70.

All students wishing to participate in high school athletics must first be registered in Final Forms and cleared prior to participating.
ASB Sticker for all sports: $70
Sports Participation Fees: $300 Sports Participation fee for WIAA sports is due prior to the first interscholastic competition for every sport. NSD is no longer offering discounts for multi-sport and/or multi-student families. For more information regarding fees, contact the ASB secretary at 425-408-8829 or kwaligorski@nsd.org.
Non-WIAA sports fees are as follows:

Cleaning fees - Band and Choir
Uniform - PE (fees will be added to student accounts once items are picked up)
Class fees will be added to student accounts the 2nd week of school.
In accordance with state law, the school district will provide each student with the materials and supplies necessary to learn the basic skills taught in their classes. However, many students desire to extend their creativity and educational experiences beyond the basics and many students wish to keep the projects they make in school. In these cases, special materials may be purchased at school, when available (project purchase fee), or brought from home or other sources.
Funds are available to pay for fees for any student who needs help, including all students who qualify for Free or Reduced Price Meals who have a fee waiver form submitted.

Parking on campus is a privilege, not a right. In order to park on campus, students must obtain a parking pass, register their vehicle and agree to abide by the Parking Expectations. They are then assigned a specific parking spot in the North (Student) Parking Lot and must park in that spot using the vehicle that they registered.

Offered only in October, this test is the only way for current juniors to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship Competition.
NCHS PSAT exam date for Fall 2025 is Friday, October 10th.
*All 11th graders will be automatically registered and assessed the $20 fee. If you do not want to take the PSAT, you must opt-out by contacting the ASB Bookkeeper at 425-408-8829.
Offered once in Fall and once in Spring during the school day.
NCHS Fall School-Day Exam: Wednesday, October 15th (registration deadline October 8th)

Students do not register for School-Day SAT through College Board. Please contact Counseling for registration information.

You may pay for meals by cash or check at NCHS, or you can manage your student's meal account safely and securely online with LINQConnect.
Parents whose income falls within specified guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture should apply for free or reduced-price meals for their students.
A fee waiver must be completed every school year prior to purchasing. Contact the cashier to get the free ASB card and computer protection plan.

The fastest way to submit a full-day absence is via ParentVUE. You may only request full-day absences via ParentVUE.
Absences may also be submitted by email NCHSAttendance@nsd.org or by calling 425.408.8810 and leaving a voicemail.
To submit a request for early release or late arrival, please email the attendance office at NCHSAttendance@nsd.org or call 425.408.8810 for the attendance voicemail.
We request 24-hours advanced notice for early releases or your student may submit a parent note before school at the Attendance Window. If you are requesting a same-day early release, a parent or guardian must be present before a pass will be given.
Students arriving late or leaving early MUST sign-in/out at the Attendance Window to be excused.
If your student is ill and needs to go home, they must visit the Health Room to be signed out with parent permission. Please do not call the attendance line to release your ill student. Your student must sign out through the nurse in the health room. This information will then be shared with our attendance secretary at the end of each day. If you have any questions, please contact NCHS nurses Lily Webb or Lynn Collar at 425-408-8806.
DID YOU KNOW? If you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch and complete the fee waiver form found at the link above, you can get an ASB sticker, class fees, test fees, athletic fees, computer protection plan, club expenses and other extra-curricular activities for FREE!!! (In order for fall class and test fees to be waived, your application and waiver forms must be submitted prior to the start of school.
