We have homework every time we finish a math lesson in class. This is almost every day.
There are three major types of homework:
Paper Homework: A paper with homework problems and space to solve the problems will be provided.
CYU: Check Your Understanding is a Schoology homework. You need paper to solve, but you will enter the answers online.
IXL: For this assignment, you will need to log in to IXL and solve the assigned topic problems. Every IXL assignment will require you to earn a Smart Score.
We typically finish four books from Core Focus on Math. I’ll update you if we have any changes this year.
•To access the textbook, log in to Core Focus Website. Choose the Book we are currently working on. Follow the steps below: Choose the Book--> Block-->Lesson-->Student Text
Homework Due Dates: Students are encouraged and held accountable to meet the deadlines for homework.
Monday's homework is due on Tuesday.
Tuesday's homework is due on Wednesday.
Wednesday's homework is due the following Monday.
Thursday/Friday's homework will mostly be done in class and due on Monday.
Too Late for Credit: Students are encouraged and held accountable for meeting homework deadlines. However, if for any unexpected reasons, such as illness or planned vacations during school days, students must complete the homework atleast before the TLC (Too Late for Credit) Date.
Example:
All September homework must be turned in by 2:30 on October 31st. Any September assignment turned in after this date will receive no credit from the teacher, but a base grade 40% will be given automatically.
Here are the TLC dates for 2025-26 school year:
