Mrs. Guymon is originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado where she graduated as one of the first AVID graduates from the school. She was in the AVID program all four years of high school and found that it really helped her build the study skills and teaching ability at a young age. When she graduated from high school, Mrs. Guymon was the first in her family to go directly from high school to college, attending at Southern Virginia University, where she double majored in Technical Theatre and English and minored in Sciences. In 2011, she graduated and moved to Arizona State University to receive a Master's in Education and her teaching certification to teach English to 7-12 graders. She graduated at the top of her class, with a 4.0 GPA, and soon after started teaching at Connolly Middle School, where she stayed until May of 2015. The year following, Mrs. Guymon took the leap and started teaching high school English at Poston Butte, where she remained as a teacher until May of 2019. Mrs. Guymon, her husband and their two children moved to Washington in June of 2019, where Mrs. Guymon worked as a substitute teacher in the until being hired at Inglemoor High School, Northshore School District, as an ELL educator for the better part of a year. Once the school year ended, she was hired on to teach at Skyview Middle School. Mrs. Guymon has been married since 2009 to her forever love, Chase. They have two daughters, Cassandra - born in 2012, and Olivia - born in 2017.
