Hi! My name is Mrs. Vagt and I am so excited to be a part of the Canyon Creek 2^nd grade team! More importantly, I am thrilled to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us! I want to know all about you, but first, I thought I would tell you a few things about me.

I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. My parents and my sister, Ali, still live there and I like to visit them often! I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Washington State University… Go Cougs! I earned my Master’s Degree in Education and a reading endorsement from the University of Washington Bothell and I also became a National Board Certified Teacher. I love learning and I hope I can inspire you to have a love of learning, too!

I met my husband, Rob, at Washington State University in 2007 and we got married in 2010. We have a very busy 3 1/2 year old son named Brayden, and a 17 month old daughter named Maddie. We also have an adorable cat named Lexi.

This summer, we enjoyed spending quality time as a family BBQing, going to the zoo, and going boating. We went on a couple getaways to Leavenworth and Seabrook. We also traveled to Alaska to visit my family and I got to meet my nephew, Bennett. I love traveling because I enjoy exploring new places!

This will be my 14^th year teaching and my 8^th year at Canyon Creek. I love teaching and I am so excited for all of the exploring, learning, and fun we will get to do this year! I can’t wait to meet you and learn all about you and your family!
