About Me

Hi everyone. I'm Mr. McBurrnett and I am so excited to be here at Woodinville High School. This is my twelfth year of teaching and my second full year in the Pacific Northwest. Previously, I taught physics in a large school district north of Dallas. Before that, I was in corporate accounting and finance for a number of years.

I have a bachelor's degree in Physics with a minor in English from the University of Texas at Arlington. In Washington State, I am certified to teach all sciences including, physics, chemistry, biology, and AP Physics and Environmental Science. I also have certifications in special education and English as a second language. In Texas, I have additional certifications in math and engineering.

My wife and I have have two children (one at Wellington Elementary and one right here at Woodinville HS). We are all so happy to be together in the same district and have come to love all the outdoor activities available to us here.
