Teaching 3rd graders in the Elementary Advanced Program (EAP) is a daily source of joy. Students who are enthusiastic about learning inspire each other and definitely me! I have been teaching EAP in NSD a number of years now. Seven years were at Shelton View Elementary and then the EAP program was moved to Lockwood Elementary. Before that, I was the Literacy Coach at Kokanee Elementary.
My professional career has been a varied path. I have taught every grade from preschool to sixth grade, been an elementary/middle school principal, and a curriculum and assessment specialist for two school districts. I have returned to teaching third grade multiple times because it is my favorite age group to work with. I look forward to another exciting year because I learn as much from my highly capable students as they do from me!
