Focus on Fiction

This course is designed for seniors in high school that wish to complete their four years of English requirements within a classroom model that analyzes literature. We will apply critical thinking to various forms of literature: novel, play, essays, articles, poetry, and student work. We will engage in seminar frequently and finally, take our ideas and put it into essay writing of our own.

Please refer to this website for any handouts that are available electronically, as well as a course calendar. This is helpful when students are absent. However, all handouts are given to students in class and it is the expectation that students will keep them in their personal class folder or binder. Extra copies are also available in the classroom. All due dates are given in class with time to write in your personal calendar, and they will also be available on the class calendar on this website.
