I am Molly Goodspeed, here are some pictures and a few facts about me. This picture is from an outing to Snoqualmie Falls with my family. When I am not teaching I love to be outside, walking, running, bike riding, and relaxing with my family!
I've taught at Canyon Creek Elementary since 2012. I have taught second grade all but one year that I taught first grade. Prior to this school, I taught Kindergarten in Portland, OR for two years.
I have two children, Graham is 6 and Poppy is 4.
I graduated from the University of Oregon and I LOVE college football. I graduated with a BS in Psychology, and after a few years in the working world, I went back to school and got my Masters in Education from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.
Kevin, my husband, is a Husky, which usually gets me a little street cred from my Husky loving students!
In 2017 I earned my National Board Certification in Early Childhood Elementary.
I love to read all types of books. Obviously I love children's books and the lessons they can teach us all. For pleasure, I mostly read non-fiction, but love a good fiction story too!
I enjoy exploring outside. The beach is my absolute favorite, but I love hiking, going for walks, and camping too!
I am so lucky to be a teacher, I love teaching second grade for too many reasons to explain! It is the prefect age and I love helping students gain confidence and pride in their accomplishments as we set and achieve our goals.
