State Book Awards

The Washington Library Association proudly sponsors four children's choice awards.  Cottage Lake students vote for their favorites in April.

• The William C. Towner Award for informational text for grades 2-6

• The Sasquatch Award for chapter books for grades 4-6

• The Washington Children’s Choice Picture Book Award (WCCPBA)

• The OTTER Award for transitional readers in grades 1-3

The Pacific Northwest Library Association also sponsors a children's choice award.
