About Mrs. Burkett

Welcome to Joanne Burkett's Page!

I am so excited to be your child's teacher. I believe that learning can and should be fun and I will embrace every opportunity to instill a love of learning through a range of different teaching styles. I like to inspire curiosity in children and teach them how to think and problem solve.

I have been teaching since 1993. I have been a classroom teacher at 1st-6th grades, middle school science and math, ELL, Science, technology, and mostly 3rd grade.

Our class website is a great resource for both parents and students to know what is currently being taught, access resources, and viewing our school calendar.

Aside from being a teacher my other interests include hiking, skiing, reading and spending time with my teenage boys.
