Mrs. Brust was born and raised in Tacoma, WA. She graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Marketing, and minor in Fashion Merchandising from Washington State University. Her route to teaching was not traditional - she spent almost 20 years working at Nordstrom on the sales floor, management and various corporate roles, including instructional design work in the internal education department. After having 3 children, Mrs. Brust decided to leave her corporate career to stay home. That was short lived - after 2 years she decided to pursue a new career in 2019 and got hired at BHS - just 2 miles from her current home. Mrs. Brust is honored and very fulfilled being the marketing teacher at Bothell High School!
