A little about me…
Welcome to Colony Middle School. This 2024-2025 school year will be my 10th year teaching at CMS!
I was born in Alaska, and traveled with my family in my early years. My family moved back up to Alaska as I entered middle school and I have lived here since. I attended college at the University of Alaska Anchorage, and received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Master in Arts and Teaching (with a focus in Family and Consumer Science and CTE), and Minor in Japanese. Before coming to Colony I also taught Business Education.
When I am not in the classroom, you can find me spending time with my family and dog Buddy.
Teaching is my passion, and it is my hope to help you find yours, by dabbling in a little bit of everything! Go Knights!
Interesting happenings while I have been at Colony!
April 2016- I got my first puppy!
November 30, 2018- 7.1 Earthquake at 8:29 am
Where was I, and what was I doing? At my kitchen demo counter, prepping for the 6th grade pizza lab.
April 2019- Birth of my first son
March 2020- Distance learning due to the starting of COVID-19 pandemic
