About

Classroom Expectations

For cooperative learning to take place, students must do their part to ensure that the classroom is a welcoming place. Please look at the at the last page of the syllabus for the expectations for all of Ms. Minsch's classes.

Online Expectations

When students are online, they are expected to follow the rules of Netiquette. Netiquette refers to the behaviors that are acceptable for students online. The standards for WMS students are outlined in the student handbook. A short video reminder of the expectations can be found at this link.

Meet Your Teacher

2021 will be my twentieth year teaching at Wasilla Middle School. I have taught 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies, 7th grade Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies, and 8th grade Language Arts and U.S. History. Before I began my teaching career, I worked in advertising, as a firefighter guard at the Fairbanks International Airport, as a technical writer, and as a stay-at-home mom until my own two children were in high school. I have a Master's degree in education and am currently working toward an advanced degree in educational leadership.

When I am not working on school work, I like hiking, fishing, and gardening. These days I am mostly gardening and working on various construction projects around my house. I do like building things. I also enjoy spending time with my only grandson who is still a delightful toddler.
