My name is Dylan Beck and I am currently a second-year student dual majoring in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics. I am also declared as a pre-medical student wherein I am also planning on taking biology and medical-based courses. I chose these majors because I have a drive for learning and applying science phenomena to real-life problems. I began tutoring in Fall 2019 and became a tutor because I am extremely passionate about helping others learn. Math and chemistry can quite often be viewed by people as a malformed hairy beast which makes them feel uncomfortable and confused. I hopefully can help alleviate some of that stress if you come for help! I speak German, Spanish, Russian, Dutch, and English and I look forward to meeting you!
Hi! My name is Angela Davis, and I am an Instructional Assistant at the Writing Center for the SCC Davis Center. I started working for the Writing Center back in 2008 as a student tutor and eventually became an Instructional Assistant. I tutor all levels of writing for all subjects. I also teach workshops and have worked in classrooms alongside professors. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from CSUS in 2015 with a B.A. in Art Studio. I have never worked so hard in my life, but it was worth it. I am the first person in my family to graduate from college. I have always had a knack for English, and I enjoy helping people learn it. Some random stuff about me: when I am not tutoring, I run a small art business, spend time with my family, and jam on my planner. I also love reading, playing Animal Crossing, playing DND, making kawaii crafts, and I have a huge toy collection.
Hello! I am Torin McCabe and I'm a Math and Statistics tutor at the Sacramento City College Davis Center. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2019 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics, and a minor in Astrophysics. I was drawn to study aerospace because it seemed very interesting to me when I was choosing my major as a freshman, and I have learned that it is very important that when you are studying something as rigorous and demanding as engineering, you had better be interested in what you are learning about. I hope that my experience in a wide range of engineering topics will be useful to you! I am capable of tutoring all math and statistics classes offered at SCC. I am originally from Woodland, and moved back to California after I graduated, and now am an amateur darts player. I hope to be able to help with any questions you may have!
