Hi! My name is Brianna, and I am passionate about contributing to my campus community. While I have not yet had the chance to gain formal experience in the Senate, I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the process and am eager to get more involved. With one year remaining in the Los Rios Community College District, I am committed to making a positive change and ensuring that students' voices are heard. While my experience is still growing, I bring a deep passion for student advocacy, and I am committed to representing my peers. I am someone who genuinely enjoys listening to others and focusing on their needs. I believe that often, students' voices aren’t as heard as they should be, and I will strive to bridge that gap. I firmly believe that open communication and active listening are essential to ensuring the well-being of all students. As a student trustee, I would make it my priority to foster an inclusive environment where all students feel their concerns are considered.
My past participation in CAEB (Club and Events Board) has helped me develop skills in leadership, collaboration, and student-focused decision-making. I would be honored to serve as a representative of the student body and contribute to the growth and success of our community. I look forward to the potential opportunity to serve and am excited about the possibility of making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.
As President, I will have the unique opportunity to represent the collective voice of the diverse student body, advocating for their needs, interests, and concerns in discussions with the administration and other campus leaders. I desire to be a powerful force for change, pushing for initiatives that reflect the values and aspirations of our fellow students. I want to be able to advocate for policies that improve students' academic experiences, mental health support, financial aid accessibility, campus safety, and overall well-being. Running for President is a big commitment, but it also offers an incredible opportunity to possibly shape the future of our campus, enhance my personal growth, and make a lasting impact on the student body. This opportunity gives me a chance to lead with purpose, improve the student experience, and leave a legacy at Sacramento City College.

Hey Panthers! My name is Kuyper Holland, and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Vice President of the Student Senate. As the current Treasurer of the Sacramento City College Student Senate, I’ve had the opportunity to help manage the student funds and work on amazing projects like our scholarship fundraiser.
During my time as Treasurer, I learned the importance of transparency, collaboration, and advocating for student needs. I’m passionate about equity and servant leadership, and I believe that leadership means listening, learning, and taking action.
If elected Vice President, I plan to spend more time talking to everyone and gauging what issues are most pressing on campus. I will be chairperson for our Meeting of the Senators, so I’m looking forward to having the means to get so much more done!
Overall, I’m excited to step into this new role, and I won’t let you down.
My time at Sacramento City College has been nothing but a positive experience. The opportunity to network with Professors, take part in career fairs, explore my new major (Business Administration), and connect with other, like minded ambitious students on campus makes me feel like I have a place here. It's that very satisfaction that motivates me to apply to represent the school as a senator, where I hope to take part in matters concerning the student body, uphold the school's constitution, and have the chance to network with other California Community Colleges to coordinate legislative activity for the sake of the student body, not only at Sacramento City College, but in colleges across the district. Finally, I'd love to have the chance to be a part of the Finance Committee. Financials are the base of any organization, so the chance to oversee the use of the Student Senate budget, aid in forming a budget, make proper investments with the Student Senate budgetary accounts, and more fills me with great excitement. As a Business Administration major, I'd love to apply the skills I've learned in my courses in the real world, and even better, to apply those skills in a context which makes a positive impact on the school community.
All in all, the chance to communicate with other professionals in the realm of financials, student senate legislation, formulate budgets, have a say in investments, propose expenditures, network with professionals from other schools to communicate information concerning legislation, and having an impact on my school community motivates me to seek office.
I love community service, especially in the Sikh community. Whenever I can, I tend to volunteer at the Bradshaw Gurdwara (a Gurdwara in Sacramento), cleaning the facilities, serving food via Langar, a Sikh tradition of giving free food, and tabling for the Jakara Movement, an organization which promotes leadership opportunity for Sikh Youth. In fact, at UC Davis I had the chance to lead 12 young high schoolers through a day of confidence, leadership, and professional skill development, whilst relaying my own experience as an individual transitioning from pre med to business (I was pre med at UC Irvine during my first year). This experience gave me a taste of what it's like to lead my younger peers, and inspired me to represent and lead my fellow peers as a student senator.
I also love basketball and fitness, a good mind is only as good as its body. I'm interested in global economics which is why I'm pursuing the Global Economics Certificate here at Sacramento City College, learning about Data Analysis and earning a Google Career Certificate, and studying math with friends! I also enjoy consulting, and recently completed a Consulting Competition for HBSA at UC Berkeley. For the school, I'm currently chartering two clubs, the first being a Sikh Club at Sacramento City College, and a Consulting Club, hoping to leave an immediate impact and foster professional, and personal development amongst my peers at Sacramento City College.
I am seeking to renew my time in office as Secretary of Public Relations because I enjoy the work and the community that I am surrounded by.
- I am the Secretary of Public Relations for the SCC Student Associated Council
- I am the SCC Delegate for Region II of the Student Senate for CA Community Colleges (SSCCC)
- I am the incoming SSCCC Region II Legislative Affairs Director
- I am a caregiver
- I am an intern with the Lieutenant Governor
- I am an intern with APAPA
- I am a Political Science Major
Hey, I’m Jesus Hernandez, and I’m running for Secretary of Technology at Sacramento City College. I’m passionate about using tech to improve student engagement, communication, and accessibility on campus.
Right now, I serve on the Superintendent’s Youth Advisory Council for Woodland Joint Unified, where I help address student issues alongside district leadership. I’m also the founder and president of the Computer Science Club at Woodland High, where I lead coding projects and promote the everyday importance of technology. I’ve also worked as the Social Media Manager for the Woodland Youth Council, building community engagement through digital outreach.
As a Computer Engineering major, I have both the experience and drive to help make technology at SCC more effective and student-focused.
Outside of school, I volunteer at my local library as part of the Teen Advisory Board, help plan events, and stay sharp by fixing up computers and managing my home server lab. I’m also into gaming Ghost of Tsushima is a favorite.
I’m excited to bring my tech background and leadership experience to serve our SCC community.
I'm seeking running for office for the Student Senate in order to hone a bridge between student questions & concerns and the faculty that it pertains to at Sacramento City College. My job is to become a liaison and provide this feedback in a detailed and professional manner to leadership at Sacramento City College. I'm seeking to run for office to provide a bipartisan approach to efficiency and accountability for the Student Associated Council (SAC) and the Student Senate. This overall effort will make Sacramento City College a better school than it already is. It will foster a culture of integrity, efficiency, and philanthropy. How we'll get this done is by reevaluating our current policies and implementing new ones at Sacramento City College and potentially at a district level for the success and benefit of our current and future students.
As I continue my education at SCC I would like to continue to be the voice for the approximate 20,000 students at SCC. I am passionate about bridging the gap between students and resources. I also enjoy planning events that bring the student body together. I enjoy supporting the different departments on campus and ensuring students have their information.
As a student of Sacramento City College, I have noticed a couple issues within the funding of certain clubs. Students are forced to spend money out of their own pockets to keep their clubs running. I am running for treasurer of the Clubs and Events Boards to fix these persistent financial issues. I truly believe that I am the best candidate for this position, as I have witnessed first hand how flawed the financial system is towards Club leaders.
I feel that Sacramento City College needs someone who is determined and able to give the students a voice. I am usually in the back not really giving my input and expressing myself and never really got out there. My first reason for seeking office is to be a part of something and contributing to a community. Most times I don't have any other ways to express myself so I feel that this will help me to take on a big role. I enjoy helping others and love meeting new people and hearing other's opinions and thoughts. Running for office will help me get to know my colleagues and to be able to let the voiceless have a voice. Running for office will be a big accomplishment for me and it will give me the experience that I will need in the long run. This gives me the opportunity to strengthen my leadership skills and have the chance to give back to my community. I want to bring change to the school and show myself that I can make a positive impact on campus.
I was born in Fresno California and I came out to Sacramento to attend Job Corps. It has opened me to networking with the mayor of Sacramento and the council member Mrs. Mai Vang. I enjoy volunteering and helping the community and most of the districts. I love helping others and I Like trying new things and doing stuff that encourage growth. I'm real active in the community and I love lending a helping hand. When I started doing more volunteering events I realized how much I enjoy doing it. I like contributing and feeling connected to others. Change is big for me and I feel that it helps me when I do something I'm uncomfortable with.
I'm seeking office to be more involved with Sacramento City College. I'd like to understand more about what the councils do: Student Senate or CAEB. I'm looking for more activities around the campus and in the community. I'm interested in photography, journalism, and television setups.
