High school summer institutes

Folsom Lake College seeks to strengthen career pathways for high school students in the region by creating summer career awareness and career exploration opportunities. In partnership with the college's counseling and career education departments, high school students may enroll in a summer, for-credit course and/or participate in career education workshops taught by the CE faculty. Early college credit and meaningful career exploration are essential in supporting degree completion and facilitating a seamless transition for high school graduates who desire to pursue a degree or certificate at any of our regional community colleges. Additionally, the college has designed the Summer Institute as a strategic approach to increasing the number of students in programs leading to high-demand, high-wage careers.
