Engaging the public with different forms of outreach is an important component of our lab experience. Our students and faculty have shared their work at conferences for professional organizations such as the Society for California Archaeology, Society for American Archaeology, Sacramento Anthropological Society, and coming in November 2018, the American Anthropological Association.
We also collaborate with the Sacramento History Museum to bring new information to the Underground Tour (of which our field site figures as a prominent stop). In June 2016 we presented some of our research findings at the Sacramento History Museum and since then have enjoyed helping create the stories brought to life on the tour.
