We want to feature art created by students since the official quarantine began on March 13th, 2020. This could be work that was created as part of a class assignment or something you created on your own, as long as you created it after March 13th. This exhibition is open to students are currently enrolled in ARC or who were enrolled at ARC in the spring or summer of 2020.
To accommodate social distancing under the recent California quarantine order, the Kaneko Gallery is currently hosting online shows. We look forward to seeing what you have been creating and hope that you will consider submitting to this free student contest. Any questions about this contest can be directed to kanekogallery@gmail.com.
Please review the guidelines below and use your Canvas email address to log in to and fill out the form at the bottom of this page.
All students who are currently enrolled or were enrolled in the Spring or Summer of 2020 are eligible to submit, including those students whose Spring classes were cancelled due to the quarantine.
Each student can submit up to five pieces of original work.
All visual art media is accepted, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry, digital art, fibers arts, and fashion. Video and interactive performances are not accepted for this show.
Your submission images should be high-quality JPEGs, suitable for redisplay on our website.
The image size and resolution should be at least 72 dpi (preferably 300 dpi), and no larger than 10 MB of images per piece.
Please label your files with your last name, underscore, and a number. For example: Wood_1.jpg or Smith_1_View_3.jpg. This is very important so we can properly title your work.
The images should be primarily of your work and not have distracting backgrounds. For two-dimensional works, please crop out the background so the photo you send only features your piece.
Here is a list of information and items you will need in order to fill out the form:
