This can be done by using the Screen Time feature:

To do this:
Go to settings
Screen Time
Click on Use Screen Time Passcode. Set a passcode that you won't share with your child (but one that you will remember)

Limit Adult Websites
Then under "Never Allow" you can paste in any websites you don't want your child to access (I usually copy and past from safari, but if you know the url you can type that in as well)
