A Letter from the Editor,
I am so proud of the effort our students put into creating a newspaper from the ground up. They knew from day one that I was here to guide and polish, but that every aspect of this newspaper would be driven by their interests and their voice. For our Journalism curriculum, we studied current events news and editorials from sources like The Star Tribune and The New York Times, as well as award winning extracurricular student newspapers from around the country. Students researched and interviewed staff about district policies and wrote from the heart. Their desire to improve their writing skills with a whole new style and a focus on interviewing credible sources is commendable.
I hope you can take some time to relax, put your feet up, and read all they've been working on.
