As we observe the world around us we may notice different phenomena that spark our curiosity.  We might ask, "Why do we often see the flash of lighting before the roar of thunder?"  In this class we explore, explain and model different natural phenomena while focusing on a variety of different areas of science.   We might look at the topic of lighting from a physics, chemistry, biology, geology or engineering perspective.    We also work on improving basic science skills and developing a better understanding of the nature of science.
