At Fairmont Area Schools we work hard to provide a healthy and safe environment for your child. As a reminder to all parents, we are asking you to please keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms.
An elevation of body temperature above normal and accompanied by behavior changes, stiff neck, difficulty breathing, rash, sore throat, and/or other signs or symptoms of illness; or is unable to participate in routine activities.
A cold with severe congestion or continual cough that keeps them up at night or interrupts other students.
Diarrhea, nausea or has vomited. A child should stay home 24 hours after last episode of nausea or diarrhea.
Skin rash or skin eruption of unknown cause, until seen by a provider.
Purulent (pus) drainage with fever and/or eye pain. Exclude until examined by a heath care provider and approved for readmission
If the student is ill, please call school daily to report the illness.
