7th Grade Life Science

In Life Science the learners will ENGAGE in SCIENTIFIC PRACTICES as they INQUIRE into CORE LIFE SCIENCE TOPICS and THEMES.

Throughout the year we will be working on the following science practices within the context of life science core topics and themes:

SEP 1. Asking Questions and Defining Problems

SEP 2. Developing and using models

SEP 3. Planning and carrying out investigations

SEP 4. Analyzing and interpreting data

SEP 5. Using mathematics and computational thinking

SEP 6. Constructing explanations

SEP 7. Engaging in argument from evidence

SEP 8. Obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information

Learners will have opportunity to develop and grow in the scientific practices as we learn and inquire with these following core topics and themes.
