In November, ASB promoted a food drive for the community. They also created a Veterans Day website and video to honor our veterans. They collected info from Veterans and Active Servicemen and Servicewomen in Heatherwood’s community and made a tribute to them. The website and video they created can be seen here:

In December, students on ASB worked hard to put together a holiday treat for all of the hardworking teachers and staff! They made over 80 individualized Padlets and sent it out to students. Students then wrote hundreds of thank you and appreciation notes. The Staff was surprised with their Padlets before Winter Break.

In January, they created an interactive website honoring Martin Luther King Jr. where students could share activism art they made and learn about how important it is to be involved in things you believe in. Students could explore social moments taking place today, and visit their websites to learn more.

In March, they started planning a contribution to the school. They planned for more benches, a mural, and a yearly tradition honoring the school's diversity. They polled students on what and how, and started creating a committee of students to help. They also held another spirit week, including a diversity map and an Among Us zoom where students could socialize and play the video game Among Us.

In April, they finalized the benches, mural designs (see Mural Commitee), and globe tradition. They created a back-to-school website, detailing how hybrid learning would work, and helped set up campus for hybrid learning. They answered questions online and in the hallways. They also did a scavenger hunt event in the school where students could find little plastic egg-shaped packages of candy and different toys and gifts.
In May, they released a Homework Center where students could come if they were rushing to finish homework at the end of the year. They created a team of students who would answer questions and help out with understanding concepts, finding resources, and homework in general. They held Multicultural Week, which was a map padlet where people could mark where their heritage originates from and add, compare, and create food recipes from all over the world.

In June, they held the election for next year (see Newly Elected Members) and helped organize and do 8th grade celebration, created multiple posters, and stood outside, cheering students on, and handing out gifts for 4 hours. Will, our president, fulfilled his election promises by buying 320 cookie packages and passing them out to graduating students. (ongoing month)
