Mr. Tony Ingold, Superintendent
I welcome you to my webpage!
It is my honor to call East Peoria my home. I grew up in East Peoria. My wife (also a long time East Peoria resident) and I have chosen to raise our two children here as well. I had the privilege of attending District 86 schools (Jefferson, Lincoln, and Central Junior High School). I graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 1988.
I graduated from Illinois State University in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education (endorsed to teach social studies). I went on to teach PE for one year at St. Thomas and St. Philomena Schools in Peoria. During this time I also coached football at East Peoria Community High School and wrestling at CJHS. In 1994, I was hired to teach sixth grade social studies at CJHS. For the next five years, I continued to teach sixth grade and coach football and wrestling. In 1999, I was given the opportunity to become the assistant principal at CJHS. This gave me an opportunity to get know many students and their families. In 2003, I became the principal at CJHS. I thoroughly enjoyed working with staff, students, and families as principal. In 2005, I was named associate superintendent for the district. During this year I had the opportunity to become very familiar with the many educational opportunities that our district provides for its students and their families. In 2006, I was named superintendent where I continue to serve our students, staff, and families today.
My wife and I spend our free time attending various sports and school activities that our children are involved in. We also enjoy spending time with friends and family. As avid sports enthusiasts, we enjoy watching many different sports but particularly enjoy football and baseball. When schedules allow, we also try to attend various district activities. My wife is actively involved in the parent club at CJHS. When the weather cooperates, we enjoy taking a motorcycle ride. I also serve as a board member for the Illinois Elementary School Association, Tazewell Mason Counties Special Education Association, East Peoria Rotary Club Executive Committee, and East Peoria Community Baseball Board of Directors.
I never hesitate to brag to others that East Peoria is a great place to live and work. The growth that we have seen within our city as well as our district over the last few years has truly shown our commitment to the families of our community. Over the years District 86 has provided many educational opportunities for me and my family, and it is my hope that we can continue to do this for more families for many years to come. I am appreciative of my opportunity to serve the students, families, and staff of District 86!
