What Does Ms. Amanda Do?

• I primarily provide a classroom push-in model of social work services to students, meaning that I teach, or work with classroom teachers to teach, social/emotional skill development lessons across each grade level. Curricula used include the Mindfulness, Yoga Calm, We Thinkers!, and others. More information on curricula is listed under social/emotional learning tab.
• I also provide individualized services to students on an as needed basis (short term), based on the student's level of need, functioning in the classroom, and discussion with parents and teachers.
• Consultative services with teachers. I am available to provide consultation to teachers about specific student needs.
• Other duties include (but are not limited to): 504 coordination/case management and knowledge of community resources.
