Report cards are a communication tool between the school and home. Below you will find questions you may find helpful so that they report card can be used to increase your child's awareness of what they can do to increase academic growth.

Questions You May Want to Discuss With Your Child
What are you doing that helps you be successful in school?
What is one or two things you need to stop doing, and/or start doing, to be more successful in school?
What do you enjoy about school?
Are you getting enough sleep every night to help you learn in school?
What is something that you need to help you in school?
How does your behavior help your classmates learn?
What is one thing you could do to increase your fitness scores?
What do you think you need to do to increase your reading level?
Perhaps a conversation about memorizing math facts. Younger students are working on addition and subtraction, and older students should be memorizing multiplication facts.
How are you showing kindness and respect to your classmates?
What do you want to do, or be, when you get older?
5-Ways to Help Your Child in School
Be sure your child reads every day at home.
Eat together as a family without the television on, and cell phones turned off or not at the table.
Be sure your child get 9 -11 hours of sleep every day.
Be sure your child gets at least 60 minutes of exercise every day.
We encourage all students to attempt 10 sit-ups and 10 push-ups every day at home.
Limit and supervise digital activity.
Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 have a planner, to be organized, and to write their hopes and dreams, and goals for the year.
