MGSH Registration Resources
2025-2026 School Year
Welcome to the MGSH Registration Website! Use the resources on this site to learn more about our course offerings, graduation requirements, and how to register for classes (this website is updated every January to highlight the following school year).
The registration process is extremely important since the course requests you make will determine which courses are offered at MGSH next school year. Please choose wisely as it is extremely difficult, and often not possible, to make schedule changes once the process is complete. Course selections should appropriately challenge students while taking into consideration extracurricular commitments, post high school plans, and school/life balance.
All current 9th, 10th and 11th grade MGSH students will receive additional information and registration materials in their Foundations/Advisory class (students should see their teacher with questions). Current ISD279 8th grade students will receive information at their middle schools in January of each year. Out of district new enrollments will be contacted individually by the MGSH Counseling Department to coordinate registration prior to the new school year.
REGISTRATION STEPS
Preview the Course Handbook and Department Pages to learn more about our course offerings.
View the tabs on this site to select your specific class/grade level for registration materials. Fill out the Graduation Planning Worksheet to plan your next steps to meet all graduation requirements. Talk to your current teachers or a counselor if you need recommendations or advice on classes that make the most sense for you.
Current MGSH students will fill out a Registration Course Card during Foundations and should review this with a parent/guardian. Attend all Foundations class periods in the month of January to ensure successful completion of the registration process. Current 8th graders will receive a Registration Course Card at their middle schools.
Students who receive Special Education or English Learner services should collaborate with their case managers or EL teachers to ensure accurate placement in classes.
When current MGSH students feel confident in their course selections and have reviewed it with their parent/guardian, enter all 18 course numbers (more if opting for a zero hour) and at least 6 alternative choices into StudentVUE (online registration opens January 15) to officially register for the 2025-2026 school year. Current 8th grade families can register for classes at home or in school via StudentVUE or receive support from MGSH staff during Registration Conferences on January 23, 2025 from 4:00-8:00pm.
