Osseo Area Schools' award-winning band programs start in fifth grade. Our high school bands have performed in places like Hawaii and Disney World. Band students develop skills to be successful on the stage, in the classroom, and for the rest of their lives.

Early September: Students and band teachers choose an instrument together at school. Communication is sent home explaining the next steps (obtaining an instrument, when lessons will begin, etc.)
Mid-Late September: Families obtain instruments and supplies; teachers set lesson schedules and communicate to parents/caregivers
October: Weekly lessons begin
Tuesday January 12: All-District winter concert @ Osseo Middle School (Blue Band* at 6:30, Silver Band** at 8:00)

Wednesday April 21: Blue Band rehearsal 4:40-5:45 @ Edinbrook Elementary
Thursday April 22: Silver Band rehearsal 4:40-5:45 @ Oak View Elementary
Wednesday April 28: Blue Band rehearsal 4:40-5:45 @ Edinbrook Elementary
Thursday April 29: Silver Band rehearsal 4:40-5:45 @ Oak View Elementary
Tuesday May 4: Spring concert @ Osseo Middle School (Silver Band** at 6:30, Blue Band* at 8:00)
Friday May 28: Weekly lessons end
*Blue/Silver Bands are set in September - students will be placed in only one group
