I am so excited to be joining the Woodland family as the STEM Specialist! This opportunity is a dream and I can't wait to create lessons that engage every student in critical thinking, collaboration and communication. I often tell students that what I love most about my new role (besides doing cool things everyday) is being able to teach them real-world skills that will help them be successful individuals. I value giving all students opportunities to explore, create, and problem solve. It is my hope to instill a life-long love for curiosity and learning.

Previously, I was a 5th grade teacher and a 7th grade Math & Science teacher. I received my degrees from UW-Madison in Child Development, Elementary Education and Special Education. Currently, I am enrolled in a Master of Arts STEM program at St. Kate's. I can't wait to incorporate what I learn into my lessons.

I just moved to the area from Madison, Wi. Yes I am a Packer fan, yes I love the Badgers. I hope we can move past our differences. My husband and I have two cats, and love exploring together. We are enjoying the fun outdoor activities and yummy new restaurants that Minneapolis has to offer!
