Week 8

For The Love of Pets

For the remainder of the year, I am going to try something a bit different. Each week I will offer a few options for activities you can do. You should pick ONE activity, but you can do more if you would like. As always, if you can't complete the activities listed, please go to "STEM for All" and pick a different one.

This week I am getting a puppy!! I thought a great theme for the week would be pets. One thing I am enjoying about being home is spending time with my cats. I am so excited to bring home a new pet! I have a couple of pictures of my puppy posted at the bottom if you would like to see him. I will post more when he gets here!

Pet Toys

Something I enjoy doing from time to time is making new toys for my cats. With a puppy on the way I have also been learning about how to make my own dog toys. It's a fun way to recycle things that I don't need any more. If you don't have your own pet you can still make a toy just donate it to a local animal shelter!

Pet Dream Home

I've always imagined what it would be like to have a mansion and be able to have a room just for my pets. For this activity, you will design the perfect play area for a pet. This could be your pet(s) or one that you wish you could have. Feel free to draw your design, or make a model with LEGO or other building materials. You could also design your play area in Minecraft.

Feeding Frenzy

Even though I am super excited for Charlie to be here, I'm a little nervous about introducing him to Noel & Smudge. A big problem we have been thinking about is how to feed all of our animals! Help me come up with solutions to this problem for when my new puppy arrives! You can draw your design or even make a model using building materials.

This is my new puppy, Charlie!!
