What are the options to check in textbooks?
- Send kids with their textbook to the library. I'll check it in and send them back to you with the book to store for the summer.
- Check them in yourself using your computer and scanner (see instructions below).
- Check them in yourself using your iPad (see instructions below).

Check In Textbooks Using Your Computer and a Scanner
1. Get a scanner from the library.
2. Go to destiny.district196.org
3. Select Scott Highlands and log in using your 196 Credentials
4. Click the “Circulation” tab on the top of the page
5. Click “Check in Items” from the left side menu
6. Scan the barcodes one at a time.

1. From the App Store, download the Follett Destiny App
2. When you launch the app, type in destiny.district196.org in to the" Connect to Your School" box.
3. Select "Scott Highlands Middle School" from the drop down menu.
4. Log in using your 196 Credentials.
5. Click "Check In" from the left menu.
6. Click "Scan."
7. Hold the camera centered over the textbook's barcode (the one that starts with 40196).
8. When the barcode is read the book will appear in a list that says "Checked In."
