Hello! My name is Mr. Shervey and I will be your student's Band Director!  I am so excited to meet your student and begin our learning journey together in Band here at Rosemount Elementary!  Here's a little bit about me:

I am entering my 18th year of teaching and have taught music across all grade levels K-12 in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Iowa.  I am a graduate of Rosemount HS (GO IRISH!!!) and have a bachelors degree in Music Education and Percussion Performance from the University of Minnesota and a masters degree in Music Composition from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK.

I live in Woodbury with my wife Sarah and my two kids Edmund (age 9) and William (age 7).  I love teaching students and composing/arranging music.  I also enjoy performing as a pianist and percussionist in bands across the Twin Cities.  My hobbies include: cooking, building cool stuff with LEGOs with my kids, and spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and geocaching with my family.

We are so lucky to have Mr. Santori join us this year as our second band director!  Mr. Santori teaches 5th Grade Band at Red Pine Elementary and Thomas Lake Elementary.  He will be teaching lessons to the St. Joseph's 5th grade band students on Fridays this school year.
