Primary Physical Education (Kindergarten)
Students will explore the basic locomotor skills such as: walking, jogging, skipping, galloping, shuffling, hopping and leaping. Students will also learn a variety of cooperative games and activities that will help them grow their evading, fleeing, teamwork, listening, spatial awareness and communication skills. Students will receive exposure to individual and team related activities as the school year progresses.
Intermediate Physical Education (1st and 2nd Grade)
Students will continue to improve locomotor skills such as: walking, jogging, skipping, galloping, shuffling, hopping and leaping. Students will continue learning a variety of cooperative games and activities that will help them grow evading, fleeing, teamwork, listening, spatial awareness and communication skills. Students will begin participating in individual and team related units such as: soccer, basketball, hockey, jump roping, volleyball, frisbee, and yard games.
Upper Physical Education (3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade)
Students will continue to master their locomotor and non-locomotor skills through a variety of games and activities. The students will learn more advanced skills and knowledge in individual and team related units such as: team building, soccer, football, basketball, hockey, invasion games, volleyball, rackets, yard games, track & field, and jump roping.Â
