Recorders
Care for your recorder
- Keep it in a safe place where pets and small children can't get to it.
- Wash your recorder in hot, soapy water and let it soak for 10 minutes. Rinse it off and let it air dry. (Every 1-2 months or if sick).
Practice your recorder
Try to practice 10-15 minutes each day to keep yours fingers and brain remembering their jobs!

Recorder Rules
- Left hand on top.
- Cover holes completely.
- Use warm, soft air.
- Always tongue the notes (too)
- Sit/stand tall.
Recorder Testing
- 3rd grade will test in person during class. Check for new assignments. 4th grade will use Schoology or in person during class.
- Practice your song for testing 10 times (good playing) before you actually test and video your playing.
- You need to play the music without notes written on the music to earn your belt.
- You need to earn belts in the order listed below.
