Mrs. Mott

Hello! My name is Cassie Mott and I am one of the 4th grade teachers at East Lake Elementary.

This will be my twenty-first year of teaching. I grew up in Apple Valley and attended school in District 196. I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, from Minnesota State University, Mankato and a graduate degree - Masters in Education through Saint Mary’s University. I have taught, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade outside the district and in District 196.

I live in Farmington with my husband JB, our 13-year-old daughter Sophie, 10-year-old daughter Piper and our dog Haddie. We love biking, hiking, traveling and going up to the cabin.

I look forward to an amazing year at East Lake!

Mrs. Schoenbauer

Hello! My name is Katie Schoenbauer and I love being a part of the 4th grade team at East Lake Elementary!

This will be my 21st year teaching and all in district 196! I taught both second and third grade at Cedar Park Elementary. I started at East Lake when the building opened in 2017. I taught third grade for one year and then moved to fourth grade. This will be by 8th year teaching fourth grade! I'm so excited for another fantastic year at East Lake!

My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato. My graduate degree - Masters in Education is from Concordia University, with an emphasis in k-12 reading instruction.

I live in Farmington with my husband Mike and my children, James, Jocelyn and Andrew. We have a seven year old beagle named Leia. We love to go to our family cabin, especially in the summer, travel and explore new places!

I was in 4th grade in 1991-1992 in Clay Center, Nebraska.
My first name is Ryan.
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota 🏡 with my husband, Chad & our cocker spaniel named Zoey 🐶 .
I like plants 🪴, reading 📚 , traveling ✈️ , working on Monday crosswords ✍🏻, and spending time outside working in the yard 🌾, hiking 🥾, running 🏃🏻‍♂️ or biking 🚴🏻‍♂️.
I've gone to three different colleges 👨🏻‍🎓
- Luther College (BA in Spanish & Elementary Education)
- The University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (MA in Literacy)
- Mt. Holyoke College (MA in Teaching Math K-8)
I've taught first, third and fourth grades. I was also a curriculum coordinator for seven years.
I started teaching in 2004 and came to East Lake in 2020. Go Lakers!

Mr. Sullivan

I am thrilled to be back with the 4th grade team at East Lake this year. I grew up in Apple Valley and graduated from Apple Valley High School and SES. I have a wife named Kaitlyn, and three children, Noble (6), Shepherd (4), & Ruby (3m).

I graduated with a degree in Theology from the University of Wales, UK and went in to teaching a few years later. I earned my Master's degree in Elementary Education from Oakland University in Michigan. I also completed a Master's degree in school leadership and administration from St. Cloud State this summer.

My wife and I lived and taught in Detroit, MI for four years and in Parachute, CO for four years before moving to the Twin Cities. I taught middle school math and 5th grade in Detroit, and I taught 4th and 5th grade in Colorado. This will be my 13th year teaching.

I enjoy all things outdoors - fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, frisbee or anything else that involves fresh air! I'm also a big sports fan and endure the seasons watching the Twins and the Vikings.
