For every $20.00 a student collects, they are pledging to walk 1 lap with their family at our Family Fun Walk Night. 

What is a Family Fun Walk Fundraiser?

Students will be collecting money donations for our school fundraiser throughout the weeks of May 15th - May 25th. For every $20.00 a student collects they will pledge to walk one lap with their family around the SHMS and HL track during our Family Fun Walk Night!

Dear Highland Families,

 

We are excited for our Highland Family Color Run on May 25th. This fundraiser will involve students collecting donations from family and friends to support their participation in the fun run.  There will be music, food and lots of fun activities to keep everyone engaged through the evening.

 

We encourage all students to participate in this event and also invite all parents to join the fun by volunteering to help with event set up and take down, work at one of the activity stations and cheering on the runners. 

 

Please look out for more information in the coming weeks about how you can get involved and support our school. We hope to see you at this event and thank you in advance for your continued support.

Pledge Punch Cards

Filling in your fun walk punch card

When students get family members, friends, neighbors, etc to commit to donating money to our fundraiser they will fill in the table on the back of their Fun Walk Punch Card.  They will fill in the donor's name, donation amount, get a parent signature, and record how many laps that donation counts as. Remember, $20 = 1 lap!

Getting your Punch card "Punched" 

After you get a donation and you have filled out the table on the back of your punch card, bring it with you to school the next day.  As you walk into school there will be a fundraising booth run by our student forum members either outside or in the main entry way.  You will show them your new donation that you received.  They will then punch your card and give you a small prize!

Artist In Residence

In the past, the Fun Run has funded things like the artist in residence program at Highland. These artists have been part of our Artist in Residence Program for many, many years.  Their creativity and passion for the arts have inspired our students and provided them with some very meaningful and memorable learning experiences.  Money from our fundraiser will be used to kickstart these programs back up this spring and throughout the next school year!

Donating to our fundraiser is quick in easy through the VENMO app.  This is our preferred payment method, but cash and check donations are acceptable as well.  Checks can be made out to "Highland Elementary PTO".
