How to Get Your Permit
- Complete 30 hours of Driver's Education (currently available online only)
- Complete 6-hours of driving with an instructor
- Upon completion of Driver's Education, students will receive a Driver's Ed Certificate from the instructor.
- Apply for a Driving Eligibility Certificate
Registration will be processed after the registration fee is paid. Visit k12paymentcenter.com and search under Finance to pay the Driver's Ed registration fee for your child.

Upon completion of the Driver's Education course and 6-hours of driving, students must use the links below to 1) Schedule an appointment with the NC DMV and 2) obtain a NC DMV required Driving Eligibility Certificate.

Driver's Eligibility Certificates are completed one time weekly.
Certificates will be distributed on the Wednesday prior to your DMV appointment. This is because the certificate will expire 30 days after it is issued.
