Where did this site come from?

We all understand the importance of building confidence and skills in math for our students as they experience the world of today and prepare to shape tomorrow.
But how do we best support them? For most of us, reading and literacy at home is straightforward: find some books that interest or challenge your student and encourage him or her to read! Pretty simple.
But how do we best support our students in math? This is a subject that can seem so complicated from the outside, and it often feels like the teachers are doing things differently than "back when we were in school!"
With this in mind, the ROSA staff has put together this resource site with two goals in mind:
  1. To provide every ROSA family with simple but effective opportunities to engage with your student and his or her development in math
  2. To build your own confidence in supporting your student by providing a window into how effective math instruction is REALLY done at ROSA with a special focus on the core milestones we hope to see students reach during their time here
