UPDATES:

3/3/25: NCHS Counselors are finishing student 1:1 meetings- to review Student class requests for 25/26.
For new enrollees for 25/26- NCHS Counselors will reach out in July 2025 to review class options and build a schedule as part of enrollment for new students.

Registration Process

Homeroom on January 23, 2025 will begin the registration process for the 2025-2026 school year. Parents are encouraged to talk with their student and explore all the course options available at NCHS. Once students have selected twelve courses (that usually include English, Math, Science, History courses, 4 electives and 4 alternates), they will make their Registration requests online in POWERSCHOOL. Counselors will meet with all students to review course requests to ensure accurate choices.

REGISTRATION for 25/26 classes-

It's hard to believe that it's already time to select classes for next year. This is an exciting time as you plan for the next step in your High School career. Be sure to utilize the information on the tabs on the left. This information, as well as the input of teachers, counselors and your parents can help you get the most out of your courses here at NCHS.

Four Steps of Registration:

Step 1- Review course options in the Registration Sheets for 2025/2026 at NCHS (given to all students in 1/23/25 Homeroom).
- See all NCHS Course descriptions HERE.
Step 2- Review videos with helpful information about classes and requirements.
- Finalize your list of courses you want to take next year.
Step 3- Login to POWERSCHOOL and select and submit course requests for 25/26 by January 29 at 11am.

- Any of your teachers can help you login to Powerschool if you need help.
- NCHS Counselors will be in the Cafeteria during 3rd period on January 27-28 for questions if you want to see them.
Step 4- Plan to attend your 1:1 meeting with a NCHS Counselor (watch your email for details).
- Rising Seniors- we will meet with rising Seniors from 1/30-2/7. Counselors will email rising Seniors with appointment dates/times prior to 1/30. These meeting will take place in Counselor offices.
- Rising 10 and 11- we will then see rising- 11th and 10th from 2/10-2/28. We will see students by homeroom groups in Periods 1, 2 and 4 in the Media Center. Counselors will send a schedule out via Canvas class announcement. See SCHEDULE HERE of student 1:1 meetings with a Counselor.
