Horticulture is the study of growing and cultivating fruits, flowers, and ornamental plants. Student will be working within the greenhouse and gardens to learn about plant physiology and growth.
Animal science is the study of livestock and companion animals, to explore the anatomy, grooming, and nutritional health of all kinds of animals. Students will be working in the barn to gain hands on experiences with feeding and caring for animals and animal facilities.
Environmental & Natural Resource sciences is the study of forests, soils, and wildlife within North Carolina. Students will be learning about wildlife, forests, and fisheries through hands-on experiences.
Agriculture Mechanics is the hands on study of electrical, woodworking, plumbing, and engines. Students will be learning experientially in the shop learning wood working skills and more.
The FFA is a student organization throughout the state of North Carolina and within the United States. Students choose many different pathways to follow. Some of those pathways being Agriculture Business, Agriculture Mechanics, Animal Science, Environmental and Natural Resources, and even Horticulture.
