Miss Taylor's Music Class

Welcome to online music class! I will be posting a lesson for you every week to try at home! If you would like to send me pictures or videos of anything you try at home or have any questions feel free to email me at emily.taylor2@cabarrus.k12.nc.us.

Here is the link to my website if you would like any extra music activities to do at home!

6/1-6/5

Hello Bethel Musicians,

Today we will be learning a hand game called Tarzan! Grab a partner or group so you can play together! If you don't know what George of the Jungle is when I mention that in the video, it's my favorite movie and I put a clip from it so you know what I am talking about!

When you are done let's go bananas with our GoNoodle!

Don't forget to submit your video for the talent show when you are done! The link is right below!

Musically yours,

Ms. Taylor

It's Talent Show Time!

Since we didn't get to do our performances for the year, why not do them at home? Attached is the link to a flipgrid for music class, and the password to access it is BethelBengals. We are going to use this flipgrid to put on our talent show this year! If you would like to participate you will have a two minute time limit to perform your talent. Your talent does NOT need to be music related! Anything that you are good at is great! Simply record your talent to share with other Bethel Bengals and upload it to the flipgrid! The only rule is it has to be school appropriate. This means that if you are singing, dancing, or anything similar you must choose a song with appropriate lyrics. You are more than welcome to invite your family members to participate in your videos! I am so excited to see all of your talents and I hope you are excited to share!

Question of the week:

What is your favorite movie? Can you think of any cool music in that movie? Email me your answer! emily.taylor2@cabarrus.k12.nc.us

5/25-5/29

Hello Bethel Musicians,

Today we will be dancing along to some cardio drumming! Make sure you grab any sort of ball you have at your house and some pencils, chopsticks or anything similar! You will be using these objects to drum along! I hope you have tons of fun like I did! I can't wait to see you try it out! When you are done check out these guys drumming with basketballs!

Don't forget to submit your video for the talent show when you are done! The link is right below!

Hello Bethel Musicians,

Today we will be learning how to beatbox! Mrs. Shulman has a music teacher friend named Ms. Sloan that I just learned this from and it was too cool not to try! You can send me any videos of the ones you do! The link to the website for you to try out more is https://beatboxingforkids.fun/.

When you are done take a look at a good friend of mine beatboxing on the flute or someone doing the Super Mario Bros theme! Don't forget to post a video for the talent show! It is open until the end of the year, and it is right below!

I am so excited to see what you do!

Ms. Taylor

Hello Bethel Musicians,

Today we will be singing a song I just learned from Mrs. Skaggs, who is another music teacher in the county! We will be drawing a picture of a man named Aiken Drum. You can use paper or draw online to make him! Remember that you can change the words of the song to be whatever you want so your Aiken Drum will look different than mine! Here is a link to the website to draw!

I can't wait to see your version of Aiken Drum!

Musically yours,

Ms. Taylor
