The IB learner profile describes a broad range of positive human traits and responsibilities that go beyond academic success. Every teacher implements these traits in their instruction to promote personal and exceptional growth in every child.
As an IB school, we value all eight courses equally in developing a challenging program of international education. Sixth grade students take the traditional four subjects of Mathematics, Science, Language & Literature, and Individuals & Societies, combined with Health and Physical Education, Arts, World Language, and Design.
These courses together with community service throughout each year help to develop students to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
Each year students have the opportunity to participate in service learning where they identify needs in our communities and try to help. Sixth and seventh grade service learning leads to a culminating 8th grade Community Project designed to empower students to enact their talents to assist, change or advocate.
