School Procedures

Attendance
Unlike elementary and middle school, High School absences are based on periods. To be considered present for a half day students must be present for any combination of 2 periods.
Sick notes:
On our website under Quick Links, you will find a link to enter a request for an excused absence. This will suffice in place of sending in a note if your child is home sick, all other absences must include proper documentation and turned in by your child to the front office or attendance office. Notes or the form must be submitted within 3 days.
Early Check out:
To check out a student, you must have a passport or picture ID AND listed on the student’s PowerSchool demographics. Please bring your ID to the front office; we will then call your student for check out. Please allow plenty of time. There are no check outs after 1:45.
Late Check in:
Please drop the student off at the front of the school, the student will enter the school through the front office. The student should bring in a note and check in on the computer.
Tardies:
Four tardies to a class period equal an absence in that class period.
PowerSchool
High school students, parents, and staff rely heavily on Powerschool for posting grades. We are a paperless school, meaning teachers will not send home progress reports or report cards unless the parent explicitly requests them.
The PowerSchool Parent Portal, provides all the information of a report card, progress report, and more.
Parents have 24/7 access
Teachers update regularly
Parents can see assignments, grades, and attendance
Quarter and yearly averages are available in Parent Portal at each "report card" period.
We ask that all parents have quick Powerschool access. To request access to Powerschool or to get help with your account, click the link below.
Update your contact information
Please make sure that you update your contact information with the school. It is imperative that the school has updated phone, address and designated emergency contacts to whom we are allowed to release students.

Our school website remains up to date with the most accurate links and resources for our parents. Check out our homepage. The links bar is the best place to look for resources. It is highly encouraged to check it at least weekly.
