ACES, also known as Avon’s Coalition for Everyone's Success, is active throughout the school year. ACES mission is to seek partnerships to foster efforts to reduce substance use disorder and promote positive, healthy decisions by people in Avon. They have middle school and high school meetings, middle school on Tuesdays at 2:15 in the middle school hall, and high school on Thursdays at 2:15 in the library. They compete annually with Team Rival and mentor students with SALSA (Students Advocating for Life Without Substance Use). Asian Student Association is a place designated for Asian voices who want to represent their culture and for others to learn about them. Events will be discussed, organized, and initiated with club members, discussing ways we can promote our identity. Correspondingly, these events' primary goal is linked to a fundraising campaign that's currently awaiting approval by the school. These collected donations will first be used to help Northern Vietnam, which recently experienced a damaging typhoon. The process begins with our connections in Vietnam, buying supplies, and renting a truck to deliver those items to our destination. Our expectations are to help those recover from the property loss, agricultural destruction, and provide food/water. As soon as we meet our goal, we'll move on to other parts of Asia that are also in need of help. This is only the beginning, so every contribution is appreciated. Together, we can create a brighter and more compassionate world for all. We want to ensure that everyone is included in the process of making this club, so ASA is most definitely inclusive to all. The club takes place every Thursday from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm in room 227. The Asian Student Association is advised by Mr. Kinsman, and the founder of the association is Kieu-Vy Tran.

The Middle School Cooking Club is held in the cafeteria kitchen and typically meets for an hour and a half to make various delicious treats and dishes. We rotate groups of 10 each Monday and enjoy cooking and baking. Student groups choose what they would like to make, produce a shopping list, learn to read directions, measure, find appropriate cooking utensils and navigate their way around the kitchen. Most importantly, students eat the delicious food and take pride in what they have created.
