About me

Well, hello there!  My name is Jessica Tollison, and I teach activity classes in multimedia and leadership.  This is my 26th year teaching and my 26th year teaching at Wren Middle School. Prior to teaching my current classes, I taught sixth grade ELA for 18 years. Additionally, I have sponsored the Wren Middle Beta Club for the past 25 years.  I was recently elected as the state sponsor for all of South Carolina.  Students are my passion, and I have the greatest job.

I earned my BS in Teaching from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.  I earned my Master's in Education Technology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I have been a National Board Certified teacher for the past 21 years.

When I am not teaching, I am loving life with my family.  I have been married to a wonderful man, Brian Tollison, for 27 years. We have three amazing children.  Bailey is a WHS graduate and is going into his fourth year of teaching at Bryson Middle in Simpsonville, SC teaching 8th grade history.  Jonah is a WHS graduate and graduated in May from Missouri State University with a BS in Psychology.  He recently moved to St. Louis and will begin graduate school at the University of Missour St. Louis to pusue his Master's Degree in mental health counseling.  Jenna-Kate is a junior at WHS and is a competitive dancer with UCDC and is on the Category V Dance team.

In my spare time, I love reading, playing games with my family, going on cruises, crafting, cuddling my dog, Gizmo, and spending time with family and friends.
