About me
Hello! My name is Brittany Taylor Patterson and I am so incredibly excited for this upcoming school year. I was born and raised in Pickens, SC but now reside in Piedmont with my husband, Blake and our two children. We have two daughters, Ansley Blayke (7) and Logan Reese (2). I am a graduate of Clemson University where I received my degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English as well as my add-on certification in middle grades. I also have a Masters of Education/Literacy through American College of Education.
I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, concerts, and Clemson Football games on the weekends. I also love to read and binge the latest Netflix shows. This is my ninth year at Wren Middle and I cannot wait for all the wonderful learning experiences I get to have with my students.
Hello, my name is Kathleen Knight, and I am so excited to be a part of the Wren Middle School team this school year! I am originally from a suburb outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Yes, it is very cold in the winter! Outside of cheering for the Clemson Tigers and the Green Bay Packers, I love to read, go to the beach, take walks, go to concerts and festivals, and spend time with friends and family.
In May, I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education, specializing in Language Arts and Social Studies. This year, I am pursuing my MAT through Clemson’s Teacher Residency Program by taking classes while co-teaching with Mrs. Patterson. I’m passionate about creating opportunities for learners to think critically, collaborate with others, and foster a love for reading and writing. I can't wait to learn and grow both personally and professionally alongside our students this year! Go Hurricanes!
