After a 21-year career in the US Coast Guard I took my knowledge and applied it to civilian life. I became a Compliance Engineer on highly advanced semiconductor tools and complex industrial machinery.
My last rank in the US Coast Guard was as a "Chief" which is symbolized as an anchor. Whenever problems arose, the resolve was to "Ask the Chief" effectively applying the anchor to find the solution.
