Introduction

Welcome to Slow Fit: Tai Chi for Seniors (the “App”), owned and operated by Appisode LLC (“Appisode”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App and all related services, features, content, and functionality. By downloading, installing, subscribing to, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

Slow Fit: Tai Chi for Seniors provides users—particularly older adults—with guided Tai Chi routines, low-impact exercises, expert-led instructional videos, personalized fitness journeys, progress tracking, and a structured 28-day gentle movement program. The App uses instructional content, video demonstrations, progress tracking tools, and personalized wellness inputs to support users in practicing Tai Chi and low-impact fitness routines safely and consistently.

The App is intended for informational, educational, and general wellness purposes only and is not a substitute for medical, physical therapy, or professional fitness advice. Users should always consult a physician before beginning any new exercise program.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App.
By accessing the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
You may not use the App where prohibited by law.

Account Registration and Security

Some features require you to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You must notify Appisode immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Appisode is not responsible for losses resulting from your failure to secure your account.

License Grant

Appisode grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial wellness purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

Modify, redistribute, or reproduce the App or its content.
Reverse engineer or attempt to derive the App's source code.
Use the App to provide professional fitness or medical services.
Upload or share unlawful, harmful, or misleading information.

User Content

Submissions

You may upload notes, progress logs, wellness goals, or other materials (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.

License to Appisode

By submitting User Content, you grant Appisode a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, process, and display such content solely to operate and improve the App.

Prohibited Content

You agree not to submit content that:

Violates intellectual property rights.
Contains harmful, offensive, defamatory, or illegal materials.
Includes personal information of others without consent.
Contains malware or harmful code.

Appisode may remove content that violates these Terms.

Wellness & Safety Disclaimer

The App provides general wellness, Tai Chi, mobility, flexibility, and low-impact exercise content. You acknowledge that:

The App is not medical advice, physical therapy, or a treatment program.
The App does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition or disease.
Results and benefits may vary and are not guaranteed.
You must consult your physician before beginning any exercise or fitness program, especially if you are an older adult, have mobility issues, chronic illnesses, past injuries, or balance concerns.
You assume full responsibility for your participation in any exercises or activities provided in the App.

If at any time you experience dizziness, pain, shortness of breath, chest discomfort, or any unusual symptoms, stop using the App immediately and seek medical attention.

Subscription and Payment Terms

Access to certain features requires a paid subscription.

Payment will be charged to your app store account upon confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Renewal charges will be applied within 24 hours before the subscription period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device’s account settings.
If you purchase a subscription before the end of a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited.
Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Restrictions on Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or servers.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Appisode’s systems.
Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar tools without written consent.
Circumvent access controls or subscription requirements.

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
APPISODE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

MERCHANTABILITY
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
NON-INFRINGEMENT
ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF CONTENT
SAFETY OR EFFECTIVENESS OF ANY EXERCISES

Appisode does not guarantee that:

The App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Instructional videos or routines will be suitable for every user.
Progress tracking or recommendations will yield specific outcomes.
Content errors will be corrected promptly.

You use the App at your own risk, particularly when performing physical activities.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Appisode shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including injuries, loss of data, loss of fitness progress, or health outcomes.
Appisode’s total liability for any claim related to your use of the App shall not exceed US $100.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Appisode, its employees, officers, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your misuse of the App,
Your violation of these Terms, or
Your participation in exercises or activities recommended by the App.

Termination

Appisode may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in inappropriate or unsafe use of the App. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in California, US.

Communications

By using the App, you consent to receive electronic communications from Appisode. Notices may be sent to your email or provided through the App.

Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the complete agreement between you and Appisode regarding the App.
Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect the enforceability of remaining terms.
Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision does not waive future enforcement.
Assignment: You may not transfer your rights; Appisode may assign these Terms without restriction.

Feedback

Any feedback, comments, or suggestions you provide may be used by Appisode for any purpose without obligation or compensation.
